partner-schoolcityA new partnership announced with SchoolCity® expands the range of resources available to schools throughout the US. Now districts that deliver assessments through SchoolCity can use formative assessment items and pre-built quizzes from the Measured Progress Formative Content Bank and STEM Gauge® in the SchoolCity SUITE platform.

SchoolCity joins other partner platforms—including Illuminate Education, IO Education, and Performance Matters--that currently provide access to Measured Progress formative resources for science, reading, and mathematics. Measured Progress also works with Learnosity, an educational technology company, to make sure that the high quality assessment items, pre-built quizzes, and benchmarks can interoperate seamlessly with a wide array of additional potential technology platform providers and learning management systems.

Fact facts about STEM Gauge and the Formative Content Bank

For science, STEM Gauge resources support instruction in the transition to the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS)*. For reading and mathematics, Measured Progress recently added more than 2,000 items—including new Spanish items—to the Formative Content Bank. The bank offers:

  • 12,000+ math and ELA items, newly built to college and career readiness standards
  • 800+ Spanish items
  • 150 quizzes
  • 44 performance tasks
  • DOK and Lexile® levels
  • Distractor rationales and rubrics

Customers agree: Formative Content Bank is effective

Measured Progress Formative Content Bank customers recently provided feedback through a 2018 customer satisfaction survey. The results show that 60% of survey respondents rated Measured Progress content more effective than other content they’ve used—and 20% said it was much more effective.

Monica Leon, Math Coach at Cambridge Public Schools noted, “The Measured Progress item bank in our SchoolCity SUITE Assessment Platform has been key to improving our district assessments. Teachers find the questions challenging and comprehensible to students. Teacher buy-in, in turn, supports productive data meetings and clear action planning."

Gather evidence of student understanding

The high-quality, standards-aligned assessment content from Measured Progress helps SchoolCity customers and others gather evidence of student learning and diagnose gaps in understanding. The resulting data support differentiated instruction, so teachers can focus on standards that pose challenges and improve their students’ academic achievement.
